Dunblane Cathedral Halls Restoration Project

A historic building. A valued community space. A future worth protecting.

Dunblane Cathedral Halls have served the local community for generations. Today, they provide flexible facilities for groups, activities and gatherings.

The building’s external fabric now needs significant repair and conservation and to that end we are developing a project to protect the halls, preserve an important part of Dunblane’s heritage and keep the facilities available for future generations.

Why do the halls matter?

The halls are a place to meet, take part in activities and build community connections.
We have approximately 64 groups using the halls, almost all from the local community. The flexible Main Hall can accommodate gatherings of different sizes, while the adjoining kitchen and The Well provide space for refreshments and socialising. There are several further smaller rooms perfectly suitable for meetings and small events.

The challenge ahead

A detailed survey identified essential repairs to the roofs, walls, chimneys, drainage and other external features.
The current estimated cost of the complete project is £770,471, including VAT and professional fees, based on the June 2026 cost plan.

We cannot meet this challenge alone.
