Dunblane Cathedral supports the Foodbank set up by a Church of Scotland congregation in Alloa, now supported by Stirling Presbytery and assisting the most vulnerable for whom the recession and benefit cuts have meant shortages and even hunger. The Foodbank distributes where the need is greatest. There is a collection point in Dunblane Cathedral Hall Cockburn Lounge to receive goods which will be taken to the Foodbank.
All who are able are invited to contribute something from the list of goods which the Food Bank would welcome:
fruit squash, fruit juices, coffee, small bags of sugar, cereals, pasta sauces, tinned fruit, tinned rice and custard, biscuits, tinned vegetables including potatoes, tinned meats including products such as curry, chilli, corned beef, ham, hot dogs, meat balls, minced beef, stew etc, tinned spaghetti, ravioli, macaroni cheese etc, savoury rice, tinned fish including tuna, salmon etc.
Bring these any day when Cockburn Lounge is open at Dunblane Cathedral Hall where there is a box to leave goods for the Foodbank.
