FELLOWSHIP EVENTS FOR THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2009 The Family Ceilidh took place in the Cathedral Halls on Saturday February 28th 2009. Around 70 people attended and a great evening was enjoyed by all. After all the expenses were covered a slight surplus of £25.00 was realised and this was handed over to Christian Aid. The Traditional Easter Day Early Morning Walks took place on Sunday 12th April 2009 with 45 people walking up DUMYAT whilst 15 walked up HOLMEHILL. Again donations for the breakfast exceeded costs and £30.00 was presented to Christian Aid. Our thanks are due to the Fellowship Committee and numerous Cathedral Folk who made these events the success they were. David Christie - Fellowship Convenor.
FUTURE EVENTS A Car Treasure Hunt is being organised for Monday 25th May leaving the Cathedral Car Park at 6.00pm. The teams will solve riddles and puzzles including a CD section before arriving at the ***** - now that would be telling (assuming that the writer knows) - where there will be a light supper. Teams of up to 4 people per car will pay £2.00 per head plus the cost of the meal. Any surplus after expenses will be donated to Christian Aid. Contact Helen Clark on 823486 or David Christie on 825209 on or before Sunday 17th May to register a team. David Christie - Fellowship Convenor.
A trip to the Pantomime is planned for December 2009. More detailed information in due course or phone David Christie on 825209. |
