west_window_5.jpgWe think of our Congregation in the Cathedral as an important feature of our community life. The Church is placed within our community as a constant reminder of the importance of faith and the difference faith can make.

Behind the restlessness and discontent we all sometimes feel, behind the fear which sometimes haunts us and the problems which so often manifest themselves in society today, there is the fundamental question of life's meaning. Is life simply an accident born of the dust, with no ultimate purpose to it and no higher destiny ahead of it? Or is it really possible that at the heart of the universe there is a personal God who cares and loves, and who calls us to care and love also?

Our Cathedral, by its very presence in our midst, reminds us of the deeper dimensions of life itself. It says to us that life which has no touch with the eternal is a poor and aneamic thing. A Cathedral stands here so that we may find in it the presence of God. That through its beauty, its grandeur, its worship and its stillness, we may be given vision, insight, courage and peace. That we may see through to the heart of all things. That our life may find its meaning.

We invite you to associate yourself with our worship or with any of our activities, in the assurance that you will always be welcome among us.
