At one side of the main Cathedral Hall, with opening partitions to it for flexible use, is the Cockburn Lounge used for serving coffees to visitors throughout the year and as a display area, named in memory of the Very Rev Dr J Hutchison Cockburn who occupied the Cathedral pulpit with such distinction.   Both the Hall and Cockburn Lounge are served by a well-equipped kitchen.
